What Does Daily Kensho Mean? What does your Logo Represent?
The design within the circle represents the endless knot, also known as the eternal knot, and can be traced back to the Indus Valley Civilization (2500 BC). The symbol is an important cultural mark in many Tibetan Buddhist traditions, as well as in Chinese and Celtic symbolism. The knot is also regarded as an auspicious symbol in Hindu and Jain traditions.
Various Interpretations of the Knot:
• In Tibetan Buddhism, the knot symbolizes Samsara, or the never-ending cycle of suffering or birth, death, and rebirth.
• The relationship and collaboration of opposing forces in the dualistic world of manifestation, leading to their union and, ultimately, harmony in the universe.
• The convergence of wisdom, compassion, and action.
• Because the Knot has no beginning or end, it also represents the Buddha’s wisdom.
What does the Endless Knot mean to me?
To me, the Knot represents our lives, the mindless patterns of thinking, distracting, and ruminating that we subject ourselves to every day. However, the knot also expresses that you have the power, the wisdom, to change your reality simply by becoming aware of those patterns. That’s where KENSHO comes in.
So, what does Kensho mean?
Kensho is a two-part word derived from the Japanese Zen tradition, with Ken meaning “seeing” and Sho meaning “nature.” In Zen practice, Kensho is frequently used interchangeably with “satori,” which means “comprehending; or an understanding.”
• Fischer-Schreiber (1991): Lit. “seeing nature”; Zen expression for the experience of awakening (enlightenment). Kensho is usually translated as “self-realization” because the meaning is “seeing one’s true nature.”
What does Kensho mean to me?
Kensho, to me, is an insight, a glimpse, a recognition of our true nature. The transition from the duality of subject and object to non-duality, where there is only ‘That’ or ‘What is.’
What is the Yellow Round thing?
The Yellow Circle surrounding the Knot, symbolizes the Sun, the opportunity, and our ability to rise and shine DAILY!
Themes from various religions and traditions appear collectively. Be it zen traditions, Buddhist teachings, Chinese or Celtic symbolism, auspicious symbolism in Jainism or Hindu traditions, or the non-dual teachings of Advaita Vedanta and Dzogchen. Let me be completely transparent;
I do not represent any of the cultural or religious traditions mentioned above. What I do embody are the language and the meaning behind the language. Daily Kensho is a philosophy; it’s a message to the world, and especially to myself, about the nature of reality.
“And the good news is that I have spent nearly ten years comprehensively training myself in Science as well as Spirituality. And you can benefit from my experiences by working with me and putting all of the skills and strategies you need to create a successful life for yourself and your family.
Putting it all together –
Daily Kensho is a message to break free from our mindless habits and living patterns, such as our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and other destructive mindsets, through not just one insight but a series of glimpses DAILY.
We create our habits, and then our habits create us.
